We are truly blessed to have wonderful musicians who share their considerable gifts at our Sunday morning worship services. In addition to singing the Lutheran liturgy, our Adult Choir sings an eclectic variety of anthems, everything from gospel, to classical, from chorales to contemporary Christian. They rehearse every Wednesday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. New singers are always welcome to come to practice.
A Contemporary Instrumental Ensemble supports the 9:00 a.m. worship, infusing great musical excitement to this family-friendly service. Occasional guest singers and instrumentalists from our community, along with our choir, offer beautiful classical music to support the traditional Lutheran service at 11:00 a.m.
The MLC bell choir, Spirit Ringers, practices on Wednesday evenings beginning at 5:30 until 7:00 p.m. This multi-generational group welcomes new ringers. You don’t need to read music, nor do you need to have any prior musical experience. Carol Sherley, the bell choir director, promises that if you can count to four, you can learn to play the bells!
If you would like to receive information about joining any of MLC’s choirs or instrumental groups, contact David Shepard – Director of Music Ministries, or Marilyn Davis – Assistant Conductor.
